What we've waited for all year-the 1981 Gay Pride Parade-starts sharply at noon today, and it promises to be sensational. It begins at Crescent Heights Blvd., approximately three blocks west of Fairfax, and proceeds down Santa Monica Blvd. to San Vicente Blvd., where it will turn south past the festival site next to the Pacific Design Center, and disperse beyond Melrose Ave.

Some 200 floats and other units are expected to participate in the parade, including up to 10,000 individuals. Social, religious, political and business groups from all over the U.S. will take part. Since this has become the third

sponsors are advising spectators that the best viewing points will be between Havenhurst and Orlando streets, east of La Cienega. Some bleacher seating will be available in the meridian strip that divides Santa Monica Blvd. west of Orlando (tickets available at bars all over town). Satellite parking areas with shuttle bus service was being planned at press time to relieve parking congestion. The Gay Pride Parade is definitely worth seeing...don't miss it for anything!
